Greater Glasgow NHS, in conjunction with Parents Enquiry Scotland, has produced a booklet for the fathers of gay sons. As the introduction to it says:
You might be completely fine, but many fathers find this news difficult. this leaflet gives some of the answers to some of the questions you might have when you find out "my son is gay"
